Terms & Liability

Last updated: 30 July 2026

Mountain biking is a physically demanding sport that carries an inherent risk of injury, even when carried out safely and correctly. Before taking part in coaching with Mary Ann Lynn Coaching ("we", "us", "our"), please read this page carefully.

Assumption of risk

By taking part in a coaching session, you acknowledge and accept that:

Our responsibility to you

We take reasonable care to plan and deliver sessions safely, matched to your ability and experience. Nothing on this page excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our own negligence, or for anything else which cannot be excluded or limited under UK law.

Health and fitness

You confirm that you have completed our Health & Activity Readiness Form honestly and to the best of your knowledge, and that you will inform us of any change to your health or fitness that may affect your ability to take part safely.

Under-18s

Where a session involves a rider under 18, a parent or guardian must confirm the information on the Health & Activity Readiness Form on the rider's behalf, and remains responsible for the rider's equipment and general welfare outside of the coaching session itself.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please get in touch as early as possible so we can offer the slot to someone else.

Insurance

We recommend that riders hold their own personal accident and bike insurance. See our resources area for a general guide to providers, available once you're set up with a client portal account.
