The short version

Coaching for riders who want to race the trail, not just survive it.

Whether you're lining up at your first enduro or you've plateaued somewhere between "quick on Strava" and "quick when it counts," this is coaching built around what actually moves the needle: line choice, braking, pacing and the small technical habits that fall apart under pressure. Sessions run out of Swinley Bike Hub, with race-day tactics drawn from stages across the UK and trails ridden right across Europe.

Why Ride With Me

Three things that shape every session, on and off the bike.

01

Race-Tested

I compete in enduro races across the UK every season, so the tactics I coach are the ones I'm using myself under a race number, not theory borrowed from somewhere else.

02

Home Trail Advantage

Coaching from Swinley Bike Hub means I know exactly which root, berm and off-camber section is going to catch you out, and how to work through it properly.

03

Trusted By The Industry

I represent some of the sport's major brands, which means I coach to the same standard they expect from their own riders. That standard carries into every session.

"Small technical changes, ridden at speed, are what separate a good run from a great one."

About Mary Ann

From weekend rider to race number, and now, your coach.

I've spent over a decade on a mountain bike, the last two years of it coaching full-time from Swinley Bike Hub. In between, I've ridden trails right across Europe and lined up at enduro races across the UK, which is where most of what I teach actually comes from: hard-won lessons from stages that didn't go to plan, and the fixes that made the next one better.

I also represent several of the sport's major brands, which keeps me close to the latest kit, technique and thinking in the industry, and keeps my own coaching held to a high standard. Whatever brought you to a bike, my job is the same: get you riding with more control, more confidence, and more pace than you had at the start of the session.

What Riders Say

A few notes from recent sessions.

Red-runner gets new skills

"I am an experienced red-runner. As a heavier rider, I struggle with jumps. First time visit to The Summit, which is an excellent skills area. Mary Ann deconstructed some of my body position and a lot of breaking it down and slowing me down. I managed to properly attain tabletop pop!"

"Fantastic place and lovely people. The bike I rented was in great condition, and our instructor Mary Ann was just awesome."

Summit

"We had a kids session booked on the Summit. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Mary Ann, who was the kids' coach on the day, was the star of the show. She was not only helping kids learn the techniques but also role modelling resilience and teaching them how to be part of a great MTB community. This was our first time at the Summit but I'm sure we'll be regulars for years to come. Thank you guys for being so awesome!"
